Trek Highlights
• A breathtaking 200-foot-deep, 1.5-kilometer-long water-carved canyon. In multiple spots, the massive rock walls narrow down to under three feet wide, preventing sunlight from hitting the valley floor.
• Thrilling Rappelling Patches: Trekkers must descend vertical rock walls using technical safety gear, featuring an exhilarating main rappelling section reaching up to 120–150 feet.
• Wading Through Chest-Deep Pools: Navigating the floor requires crossing multiple freezing water bodies and natural pools that can reach up to waist or chest depth depending on the season.
• Giant Suspended Boulders: The challenging path demands high endurance as you scramble over massive boulder fields and natural rock bridges wedged between the cliffs.
• Mighty Mountain Panoramas: The trail rewards you with stunning views of the surrounding Alang, Madan, Kulang (AMK) forts, Ratangad, and Kalsubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra.
• Starlit Riverside Camping: Most tour groups complete the full descent loop starting from Samrad village and end with an overnight tent stay under the stars near Dehne village.
